The 2nd Annual “FASHION In The Street” will feature local fashion designers and boutiques, as well as unique vendors selling their artistic collections in an outdoor street setting. The production is set to take place in the South Loop of Chicago at the Dearborn and Polk intersection with the Dearborn Train Station serving as awe-inspiring runway stage scenic view. The festivities will commence for a 2-Day Fashion Fete the weekend of June 1st and 2nd, 2013. By featuring this event in our city’s very own industrial streets, we are providing a festival atmosphere where DJs, Bands, and Catering intermix side-by-side with Retail and Runway Fashion. After scouting many locations throughout the city, the backdrop as well as the areas’ demographics, lend the South Loop as a perfect landscape for such an event. The basic rundown of what would transpire throughout the weekend is as follows:

Anchoring one side of the fest will be a “Main Entertainment Stage”; which will feature a lineup of local bands and musicians performing daily on Saturday and Sunday as well as a myriad of talented DJ sets capturing the interest of our crowd. Jetting out of the “Main Entertainment Stage” will be a 100-foot walking Runway serving as home for highlighted Fashion Shows by some of our top boutiques and designers… 2013’s Runway Showcase will feature talented collections inspired by: Barbara Bates, J. TOOR, E.Kaye Cove, GIDI, Gabrielle Zwick, True Blessyn, and Caroline Borucki. More will be announced soon; including our Premier Headliner! This runway extension will feature several model-designers showcasing throughout the weekend with highly anticipated closing acts both Saturday and Sunday nights with headline DJ Artists. After the festival closes each evening, our crowd will be welcomed to attend an After Party co-hosted with our Top-Sponsors, Models, and Entertainers for a crescendo into Chicago’s Trendy Nightlife Scene. With the collaboration of our Live and Diverse Music Entertainment, Street Party Atmosphere, Runway Model Shows, Upscale Vending, Craft Beer & Wine Beverage Selection, plus After Party Inclusions… patrons of FASHION In The Street will be able to shop at numerous boutiques at one time in an outdoor setting, intermix with fashion icons, share drinks socially and enjoy original music and the best fashion-entertainment our city has to offer.

Merchant vendors will run on both sides of the festival selling clothes, accessories, and all things fashionable. We are anticipating over 20 merchant vendors and each of their festival space(s) will come equipped with shaded canopy protection, adequate square footage for fitting rooms, mirrors, and uniform clothing racks for a tremendous showroom-like display… meanwhile selling and promoting boutique-store locations to thousands (literally) on the streets of Chicago!

Runway Shows will be featured throughout the event, with headline premier shows every evening. A 100 foot Runway will jet out of the Main Stage into our city landscape. All Runway Shows will be Produced by BENJAMIN COTTRELL DESIGNS.
