Find out what happens when several talented people join forces. Covering various creative sides from fashion to film, each brings a different set of skills to this unique collaboration.
Clients, guests and industry insiders have gathered in the spacious event space on West Randolph St in the West Loop to celebrate a successful creative collaboration of Evolve and Epoch.
Evolve, a personal and editorial wardrobe styling company helping women feel and look their best, was founded by Jessi Sheehan. From a very young age Jessi had an eye for fashion. She studied Fashion Design & Apparel Merchandising at Indiana University and spend some time in New York before moving back to Chicago.
“It was the most amazing experience living in New York,” reflected Jessi as she spoke about working for Jillian Luis as her assistant designer. However, not being sure she had yet found her niche, Jessi moved to Chicago and got more involved with fashion shows and photoshoots in a more hands on capacity.
“I love the creative process,” said Jessi, “coming up with the concept whether it’s for a photoshoot, or a person and then being able to take it all the way and making it into their look or their image or that one great shot.”
It was at a photoshoot that Jessi met Ben Mahoney. A natural entrepreneur Ben was launching and running his own businesses from a young age. After film school Ben started BMP, the Ben Mahoney Productions. Shortly after that he founded Leap Weddings which is producing wedding films. And after that Epoch, a full service hair salon.
One night the conversation got Jessi and Ben chatting about Jessi’s passion for styling and Ben’s strong creative mind and business savvy sense. An idea was born and shortly after that so did Evolve adding one more company to the BMP umbrella.
“Tonight we’re celebrating the launch of Evolve, personal and editorial stylist, and our salon Epoch which is based out of our production company where we do video production as well. It’s kinda this weird hybrid creative collaboration where we all cross promote each other and we all work together. It is a really cool creative collaboration,” shared Ben.
“The Launch” held in West Loop celebrated this unique creative collaboration cross fashion, styling, wedding and film production.
