Haute couture at Chicago Fashion Industry Mixer

Take a refined venue, bring in a wonderful crowd, add a couture fashion designer and the result is a very successful event. Our first event of the year happened to be our biggest Fashion Industry Mixer held to date.

On February 7 we came back to the fashion scene with our next event, which we held at the BLT American Brasserie. Located in the redeveloped part of River North, the restaurant offers simply and skillfully-prepared food. The décor is inspired by the artists, designers and architecture of France.

The seventh Fashion Industry Mixer turned our to be our biggest mixer yet. The highlight of which were the showcase of new designs by couturier Thierry Roger.

Fashion Industry Mixer networking event series are the first of its kind in Chicago. This strictly industry event provides a platform where fashion designers, models, photographers, makeup artists, hairstylists, fashion bloggers can expand their network and contact list, strengthen their business relationships or build new ones.

Launched last year, the Fashion Industry Mixer have become our signature event series where we bring the industry together, connect people and spotlight designers. Each event has been held at a different venue and we have been choosing a great fashion designer to showcase.

The February featured designer is Thierry Roger who is originally from Paris and now is based in Chicago. Thierry has a classic approach to fashion. His collection of custom made clothes fits any age group. Each piece is made to look good and remain relevant as the different fads come in and out of style.

During the Fashion Industry Mixer four models – Beba Georgieva, Tiana Pires, Jacqueline Bender and Amber Hunt – wore Thierry’s designs that have been revealed at the event. Michelle Raucci, Tonya Keefer and Tiona Smith did the models’ hair and makeup. Ignacio Maldonado had managed all the backstage logistics before the event begun.

The February Fashion Industry Mixer has been a fun event and an exciting beginning to a new partnership with Benjamin Cottrell Designs who came on board as the co-producer of the event.
