Anna Hovet

Anna Hovet is a delightful fusion of designer style and streetwear comfort. Manufactured in Chicago, the young contemporary collection includes reversible jersey dresses, cozy sweatshirts, and beautifully draped outerwear. Inspired by the Chicago underground music/art scene, and influenced by modern trends. The garments have the vibrant color palettes, edginess, and convertibility of urbanwear with sophisticated design details, couture silhouettes and vintage trims.

Anna Hovet Designs was founded in 2009 by designer, Anna Hovet.  Born and raised in Grand Forks, North Dakota, Anna moved to Chicago and earned her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2007. After graduating, she was hired by Kids Headquarters where she designed layette for Ecko, Calvin Klein, Kenneth Cole, and Target. Due to the economy, Anna was laid off from her job and started her own company in January 2009. In May 2009 Anna was selected as a Designer in Residence at the Chicago Fashion Incubator.

Anna Hovet Designs speaks to the urban, trendy woman’s need to have stylish, unique, and wearable clothing that makes her feel beautiful and confident, while speaking to her self-expressive nature. The company empowers women and is an honest and forth-right business committed to designing edgy, inventive, convertible, and practical clothing by infusing cross-cultural design details and marrying the worlds of streetwear and high fashion. Anna Hovet Designs also sees fashion as a platform to address social issues, raising public awareness through special design collections, organizing charitable events, and donating profits.
