Chicago Fashion Foundation partners up with FlagshipUSA to hold a fashion show during Fashion’s Night Out at The Underground. As the last event of the day it was a perfect wrap up to the international fashion day.
Fashion’s Night Out was created in 2009 to celebrate fashion, restore consumer confidence and boost the industry’s economy during the recession. Now, in its 4th year, it has become un unprecedented global fashion initiative. On Sep 6, 2012 over 500 cities in 19 countries had participated in the fashion celebration.
Chicago was no stranger. Retailers and boutiques throughout the city hosted fashion events, special sales and promotions, showcases and fashion shows. As the day was coming to a close, Chicago’s premiere nightclub, The Underground was opening its doors.
Located in River North, The Underground, an avant-garde re-creation of a top-secret, military hideaway complete with artillery cases as cocktail tables, had been voted “Best Nightclub” by Chicago Scene Magazine. The club had aligned itself very well with the fashion scene by holding many after hours fashion shows. Branded as the “Style Series”, the weekly events had huge success.
Bringing back the weekly fashion shows for fall, The Underground launched the first of the 2012 Fall Style Series the day of the global Fashion’s Night Out celebration. Partnering up Chicago Fashion Foundation and FlagshipUSA, and with Marco Foster being the host of the night.
