The street off West Division St has been closed to hold an all day event that brought together fashion, music, food and shopping. On August 25, 2012 the Fashion Fest put together by M.GO Fashion CO made it’s come back for the 4th year in a row.

The Wicker Park neighborhood is home to trendy shops, hip bars and funky restaurants. It’s the place to be for a young fashionista. And to no surprise it is also home to the chic M.GO Fashion Salon and Boutique.

Two sisters Michelle and Melissa Gomez had opened the doors to a new concept of combining fashion, beauty and style under one roof. M.GO Fashion CO located at 1754 W Division St is a three-storey fashion spot catering to all the beauty and style needs. Dedicated to their clients Michelle and Melissa make sure that walking out you’ll feel brand new.

It does not stop there. M.GO Fashion CO has been actively involved in many fashion events in Chicago either backstage providing hair and makeup services or being in the show themselves showcasing the clothes from their boutique. And once a year they put on their signature event, the Fashion Fest.

The Fashion Fest is in its 4th year and it is an all day shopping, entertainment, style and fashion event. The street right outside The Anthem, a retro-inspired sports bar, is closed and transformed into a fashionista playground. Featuring 20 booths of local fashion designers, boutiques and salons, the festival is quite the shopping destination.

At the end of the street an enormous stage with a runway was set up with performances and shows happening all day long. Local celebrities, Lourdes Duarte, Natalie Martinez, have hosted the fashion shows which featured C.Dahlstedt, LeThrift, Maison De LaCour, M.GO Fashion CO to name a few.

The Fashion Fest was a great way to spend the sunny summer Saturday emerging in style and exploring new fashions.
