Socialites, fashionistas and press had filled the ballroom at Union League Club anxious to see the new collection by one of Chicago’s prominent couture designers. A collection that the fashion designer Hector Javier Monàrrez promised would be memorable.
Hector-Javier Monàrrez grew up in a family of seamstresses and dressmakers, which inspired and fuelled his creativity and passion for fashion. After graduation from design school Hector traveled the word where he has mastered his skills.
Hector had founded his fashion house the Monàrrez Collection in 2009 and has been rising in demand ever since. Hector’s understanding of what women want and his perception of a woman’s body had enabled him to create most flattering silhouettes.
The mission of the Monàrrez Collection is to not simply make clothes, but to create fashion. A mission that Hector upholds with each dress that he designs.
On October 19, 2012 Hector had revealed his latest collection “Ritual of Couture” at the Union League Club. The show was held in a beautiful ballroom, which was filled with guests all excited to see the new designs.
Union League Club, established in 1879, is located on Jackson Blvd and has been supporting cultural institutions and the beautification of the city. The club has one of the biggest private collection of art and hosts yearly fashion night events. The club provided a sophisticated and refined environment that fit perfectly with the aesthetic of the Monàrrez Collection.
Hector had streamlined his line keeping the focus mainly on special occasion attire. Using luxurious fabrics Hector created a collection of exquisite cocktail dresses and floor length gown perfect for red carpet events. The look is elegant, conservative and classic. For the finale of show Hector presented his bridal gowns that took everyone’s breath away.
“My collection is dedicated to all women. My customers are people who love to look elegant, classy and who love to be different.” said Hector.
